Clubs & Activities

Students may participate in all events and activities for Troy High if they are a resident of the Troy High area and in good discipline and academic standing. Students may participate in athletics if they meet the athletic requirements for the TSD and MHSAA.

Students may participate in all events and activities for Athens High School if they reside in the Athens High area or are an Out of District student. Students must be in good discipline and academic standing. Students may participate in athletics if they meet the athletic requirements for the TSD and MHSAA.

Students meeting the same requirements may also participate in clubs or activities offered by TCCHS

 

 

Book Club

What better person to lead a book club than a man who stores books in the trunk of his car?

Leader:  Mr. Flessa
DESCRIPTION:  Meet Mr. Flessa, an avid reader, fearless lead teacher, and fanatic of creative woodworking. Join him as you take an adventure into stories unknown. Discuss character motivations and plot twists. Enjoy time spent with peers in a community of story enthusiasts. 
LOCATION:  Thursday's at lunch in Mr. Flessa's room.
 
 

Guitar Club

Learn to play the guitar in a relaxed setting where the common interest in a love of music is shared. 

Leader:  Mr. Rainwater
DESCRIPTION:  Meet Mr. Rainwater, lover of guitars and good times! Ask him about how long he's played the guitar, and you'll be sure to hear some great stories. He'll share about his days playing in a band, jam sessions on the weekends with friends, or his passion for perfecting a new song. 
LOCATION:  Tuesday's from 2-3:15 p.m. in Mr. Rainwater's room.
 
 

Tutoring

Feeling stuck in a subject area and need some support?

Leader:  Ms. Petrouneas

DESCRIPTION:  For tutoring support stop by Ms. P. after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a tutoring session. With years of experience as a teacher consultant, Ms. P. is the perfect person to meet you where you are at and help you get where you need to be. You can do this, and we can help!
DESCRIPTION:  Meet Tuesday and Thursday from 2-3:00 p.m. in room 10.

Climate Changers

DESCRIPTION:  The Climate Changers are a group of students lead by Ms. Leonard who focus on changing the school climate for the better. We deal with social and emotional issues within the school. 
LOCATION:  Wednesday's at lunch in Ms. Leonard's room.
 
 

TCCHS Fitness

Fitness Room Guidelines

  • Respect the boundaries of the staff member in the room.
  • Use fitness equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Use collars and spotters at the bench press/squat rack.
  • Ask for help if using unfamiliar equipment.
  • Report any equipment damage immediately.
  • Report injuries immediately.
  • Sanitize equipment after use.

Access at Lunch:  10:40-11:20 a.m. (full days only) contact Ms. P in room 10. 
Access after school:  2:10-3:00p.m. (full days only) contact Ms. Leonard in room 5.
 
 

Women of Tomorrow

Leader:  Dr. Philippart
Description:  Join esteemed TSD board member, Dr. Nancy Philippart and other various speakers during scheduled sessions throughout the school year to consider women of tomorrow.  Be encouraged, energized, and supported as you reflect on who you'd like to be today, tomorrow, and in the near future!
