Enrollment & Admission Policies

Troy College & Career High School provides unique educational opportunities for 14-19 year old students who have fallen behind academically. Students may also take college or career certificate classes free of cost while in high school!

Enrollment Process

  • Students must be 14-19 years of age
  • Meet with Principal & Parent/Guardian
  • If it is determined that TCCHS is suitable, a date for testing is set
  • Students must demonstrate a 9th grade reading level through the Iowa Reading Test
  • Students who demonstrate lower reading scores are referred to our Adult Education program which will assist in strengthening skills for future re-testing and enrollment.
TCCHS is open-enrollment therefore allowing students from other districts to enroll.

Fees & Additional Tuition

There are NO tuition charges for:
  • Out-of-district students
  • College classes
  • Career certificate classes

Admission Policy

Students who are 14-19 years of age, behind in school credits, and are demonstrating difficulty in the traditional high school setting can either be referred by their high school counselor or may contact TCCHS directly. Students who have already dropped from high school or are from another district may also contact TCCHS directly at 248-823-5156.
