About Us » History

Troy College & Career High School has evolved from Niles Community High School - which has been in existence since 1995. The high school was created to assist students that demonstrate low academic success due to social, emotional, or behavioral issues. Troy College & Career High School offers an accelerated academic program that allows students who have fallen behind in credits to catch up and graduate according to their original date of graduation as well as dual-enrollment opportunities for those interested in getting a jump-start on college.

A high percentage of the students who enroll at Troy College & Career High School have successfully graduated, earning a nationally recognized Troy School District diploma. Of the students who have graduated, many have sought post-secondary education - some even having earned college credit while attending high school!
