School Board News - March 20, 2018


  • To kick off the spring season, students are enjoying a Spirit Week sponsored by Student Government though Friday. The group is also beginning plans for a 2nd Annual Prom for TCCHS students.


  • Two forensic scientists from the biology unit of the Michigan State Police Crime Lab shared case studies and how they analyzed evidence with Forensic Science students last week.


  • Environmental Science students will soon be preparing to conduct chemical and biological testing of water samples from the Rouge River as part of the Michigan Rouge Education Project in conjunction with U of M Dearborn.


  • Troy District Judge Kirsten Nielsen Hartig will hold live court in our gym on Friday to increase student understanding of the judicial process.


  • Learning about professions that require various forms of certification, in addition to two and four-year degrees, will be the focus of a College & Career Exploration Day when representatives from Oakland and Macomb Community Colleges meet with students next month.
