Troy College & Career Students Honored for Dual Enrollment Achievement
Dual Enrollment students at Troy College & Career High School were recognized by the Troy School District Board of Education for their success in simultaneously earning college and high school credits.
The six who were honored on Tuesday represent 44 students who are enrolled in between one and four classes at Oakland and Macomb Community Colleges or Oakland University while completing high school course requirements.
Nearly 30 percent of Troy College & Career students from both in and outside of the Troy School District are also college students. They have completed a College Prep course before starting post-secondary education and are now taking a College Seminar class at Troy College & Career in which they receive personal assistance with: time management and class organization, content areas, essay writing, study and test-taking, educational career planning, learning how to apply for scholarships, monitoring of grades, and much more.
