Student Government students helped coordinate Troy College and Career donation collections for the Troy School District Day of Service in honor of Martin Luther King Day last month.
Troy District Judge Kirsten Nielsen Hartig held live court in our gym last month to enhance understanding of the judicial process.
Forensic Science students studied alternative light sources used in collecting evidence when a representative from the biology unit of the Michigan State Police Crime Lab visited.
Renee Boogren, science teacher, received a Troy Foundation for Education Excellence grant for her Biology class to purchase classroom equipment for students to apply science and engineering practice to their learning.
Recent meetings of The Women of Tomorrow focused on encouragement, empowerment, and working with mentors to practice their public-speaking skills.
Leadership and Social Justice students from Troy College & Career, as well as students from each of the other three high schools, continue to rehearse their “Fingers Crossed” skits at our school. Panel discussion volunteers are preparing for their post-performance audience discussion. The theatre troupe will present their skits to middle schoolers in the district in March.
The Kiwanis Club in Troy recognized Mohammad Abulaban and Ethan Hilzinger earlier today as ‘Students-of-the-Month” for January and February.
